Description

Wooden Bat Earrings

Did you know that Bats are associated with Halloween because Celtics who began the tradition of holding celebrations to warn off angry spirits, sat around bonfires in animal hides and the fires attracted bugs which in turn attracted Bats?

The Celtics saw the Bats swooping around the fire, but they were so fast they couldn’t tell what they were so presumed they were embodied spirits of the returning dead.

Since then, Bats have always been associated with Halloween in a spooky way!

I think bats are one of the cutest little beings ever so I had to make a pair of wooden bat earrings for this season and I hope you agree with me…they’re super cute!

There are more Halloween options available here…you may want little friendly ghosts hanging from your ears instead of the lovely bats!

The Quirky Process

Hand painted on wood using a mix of black, white, light grey, silver and glittery paint, these little wooden Bat Earrings will hang (not upside down but to the side) lovingly from your ears and will be your companion this Autumn.

I will attach them to amazing quality findings for you and it’s your choice whether you choose a colour or go for a more hypoallergenic option like sterling silver or surgical steel.

They’re made from amazing quality wood which has been laser cut and they’re very light weight making them easy to wear.

They then have a layer of resin to the front to create a lovely shine which also adds extra protection.

Each item of jewellery at Wear It Quirky is made, packaged and shipped from Stoke-on-Trent; the heart of the Potteries! More specifically, the entire process takes place in my garage-come-craft-studio.

The jewellery is therefore designed and made entirely by hand by me, Victoria, making every single pair unique and truly special. I share lots of behind the scenes of the quirky process on Instagram and Facebook.

Please note because the jewellery is handmade, there may be slight differences from one to the other and sometimes, some slight imperfections.
